Tuition Fees & Refunds

Wholistic Health Training will not require or accept payment of a registration fee of a prospective student until you have signed a student contract. Tuition fees or any incidental fees that are paid by Alberta Student Aid may be collected by the institution before training begins.

For domestic and international students, if the student terminates a student contract on or before the 4th business day after signing the contract, we will refund all tuition fees paid by or on behalf of the student. The refund will go directly to the source of funding 30 days from the day the student contract is terminated.

As stated in Private Vocational Training Regulation - Section 17(1), Wholistic Health Training is entitled to the following costs if the student contract is terminated, and vocational training has begun:

  • When 10% or less of the vocational training has been provided, WHTRC will retain 25% of tuition costs.

  • When more than 10% but 50% or less of the vocational training has been provided, WHTRC will retain 60% of tuition costs.

  • When more than 50% of the vocational training has been provided, WHTRC will retain 100% of tuition costs.

If Wholistic Health Training & Research Centre receives tuition fees more than the amount of our total costs, we will refund the excess amount.

Student Loan Repayment Strategy

According to the Canadian Student Loan Program, most students take 10 years to pay off their loans. It is important that your student loan gets paid back when repayment comes up because it can affect your credit in a negative way if you miss payments. With a government loan, you are given a six-month grace period after you graduate, finish your studies, or stop being a full-time student. Interest, however, does accumulate during this period.

After this grace period, the government will send you a repayment schedule detailing how much you need to pay them each month. Please note that if you have grants given to you by Student Aid Alberta and you do not successfully complete your program, that amount turns into a loan and must get paid back. If you have not found a job and cannot pay your loans back make sure you apply for the Repayment Assistance Plan (RAP). More information available on the Alberta Student Aid webpage
